Southern lunch is like taking a trip to the time, of trains where a chief transportation. Their style of food is very good. From items like fried chicken and their chicken pie is my favorite. My wife enjoys the pork tenderloin . Their sides are good also.

Yesterday I decided to go to Lexington and check out this place I found on Google Maps. I got there and was a little confused at first because three different buildings had the sign for this place. When I found it, it was packed. I had to sit at the bar and then there were people waiting to get in. I ordered the fried chicken plate and was shocked to discover it came with three pieces, when two is normally what I'm expecting. I really thought the chicken was seasoned and cooked very well and the sides were really nice too. I love that they have the option for rice, and also that they used real silverware instead of plastic. I can definitely see myself going back.

Homey, fulfilling, comforting. I'm usually stuck getting the same five favorites off the menu, but you really can't go wrong with any of it. I feel like they're always busy when I come in, but traffic moves quickly. Sweet tea is on point! Service is welcoming. Portions are large! Great for breakfast if you catch their hours. Pancakes are huge! We do take out a lot, usually ready in 20/25 mins!

Very cool restaurant in Lexington by the railroad near the old depot. Heard a lot about it. Everyone's food looks scrumptious! Can't wait to try mine. Thirty minutes later... Fabulous restaurant! I cannot say enough good things. You don't find good food like this that often. Spectacular! The service was great! Sweetest young lady ever and very helpful. The restaurant is extremely clean and decorated with train station memorabilia since it is in the district of the old train depot. The people are very friendly and thankful to have you there. The owner, Mr. Lohr came to our table and talked for about 30 minutes. He gave us the history of the restaurant. A large wall mural depicts the time when his grandfather started the restaurant in the early 1900s and the train pulling in next to the depot. So interesting and admirable to see a 3rd generation business still going strong. A restaurant in business for almost 100 years speaks loudly! They offer breakfast, country cooking (all kinds), chicken, wings, seafood (looked scrumptious!), burgers, fries, hot dogs, hoagies, salads, and some Italian. They also have daily specials. The prices were very reasonable. This place will most likely become one of our regulars. Honestly, there are not enough stars.

Amazing place filled with great people, good food & a lot of nostalgia, stories & laughs! This place gives a rustic feel and down home friendliness which is honestly genuine. The food was exceptional and as soon as the chef learned that we were newbies, he came out with samples of his specialty items and it took a pleasant & savory turn towards BBQ. Love it, gotta go again...!

Our server was so sweet that day. This place gives off Small town vibes for our little town. If you're in the mood for some country food this is the spot to go. Unfortunately my chicken was over cooked and a little tough but it was still good lol. They have odd hours though so be sure to check.
